The index, produced by Danske Bank, was at a weak level in the last quarter of 2010. In comparison to January 2010, the index improved by six points in January 2011.

It is expected that the transport flows will not face more remarkable declines anymore. In March this year, the value of the European Freight Forwarding Index is believed to be 67 and in road transport, 70.
