Vainikkala-Buslovskaja
Vainikkala-Buslovskaja border crossing is closed to traffic from Monday 21 June at 22.00 to Saturday 26 June at 5.30. During this time no trains are operated in either direction. The last trains from Vainikkala to Finland arrive during the Monday afternoon/evening.
A loading ban is in effect 19-24 June 2010 regarding the wagons sent by the Russians which are due to arrive in Finland via this border crossing.
As many wagons as possible shall be unloaded before the interruption so they can be returned to Buslovskaja. Eight train pairs run between the border on Saturday 19 June and Sunday 20 June. The wagons which are unloaded during the interruption will remain on the closest rail yard and they will be returned via Vainikkala after the interruption.
Luumäki-Vainikkala line has a break in traffic from Tuesday 22 June at 6.00 to Friday 25 June at 18.00.
Imatrankoski-Svetogorsk
Freight arriving in Finland passes via this border crossing with the exception of tank and container wagons. The operating hours of the border crossings are extended 22-24 June when the crossings are open 7.00-22.00. This makes it possible to handle seven train pairs. On Friday 25 June operating hours are 7.00-17.00. Operating hours of Saturday 26 June and Sunday 27 June are decided on Wednesday 23 June together with the Russian officials.
Empty wagons arrive in Finland via Imatrankoski instead of Vainikkala.
Transports originating from outside Russia cannot enter Finland via this border crossing.
Niirala-Wärtsilä
Traffic at this border crossing continues to operate as at present. Via this crossing it is possible to transport also loaded wagons normally transported via Vainikkala from Finland to Russia or from Russia to Finland. The transport price is naturally determined according to the thus transported distance.
A decision on operating a third train pair on Wednesday 23 June and Thursday 24 June is made with the Russian officials on 17 June.
